Job Summary

Lionsgate is seeking a Benefits and Leave of Absence Specialist to manage leave requests for California, New York, and other remote locations. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate leave tracking, liaising with disability vendors, partnering with HR and Payroll, reviewing accommodation requests, processing healthcare bills, and supporting Open Enrollment and other HR projects. The specialist will be a main point of contact for leave and time off programs, and will also support the benefits team with billing, employee questions, and the wellness program.

Must Have

  • Act as subject matter expert and main point of contact for leave requests
  • Provide exceptional customer service for leave issues
  • Maintain accurate leave tracking
  • Liaise with disability vendor
  • Partner with Payroll, HR Business Partners, and Employment legal
  • Review accommodation requests and implement return to work plans
  • Reconcile and process health care bills
  • Support employee questions and assist with Open Enrollment
  • Compile reports of internal data
  • Assist with research and additional HR/benefits projects
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong leave of absence experience (STD, LOA, FMLA, CFRA) with emphasis on California leaves/EDD
  • Competency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Maintain confidentiality and interface with employees at all levels
  • Ability to anticipate team needs and respond accordingly
  • Excellent multi-tasker and high attention to detail
  • Friendly and open demeanor and a team player with a positive attitude

Job Description

Summary of Position

Lionsgate is seeking a Specialist to join the Company’s Benefits team to be a main point of contact for our leave of absence and time off programs as well as support the benefits team with billing, employee questions, and our robust wellness program.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert and main point of contact for any leave requests for California, New York and other remote locations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, resolving questions, concerns, and complex and escalated leave issues
  • Maintain and keep leave tracking up to date and accurate
  • Act as the liaison with the disability vendor. Develop and maintain sound relationship with vendor representatives

Implement effective means to routinely report on program status

  • Partner with Payroll, HR Business Partners and Employment legal on benefits and leave matters, as needed
  • Review accommodation requests and implement return to work plans
  • Reconcile and process health care bills
  • Support employee questions and assist with Open Enrollment and implementations
  • Compile reports of internal data as needed
  • Assist with research
  • Assist with additional HR and benefits projects as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related.

Compensation

$72,000 - $75,000
