Job Summary

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for chip and advanced display production. This Manufacturing CIM Engineer role in Singapore involves developing and maintaining manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes. You will collaborate with engineering functions to implement product improvements, reduce costs, improve quality, and drive operational excellence through lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement. The position requires expertise in reporting software, CIM, MES, and DB architecture.

Must Have

  • Develop, implement and manage Operations reporting framework and system
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop, implement and manage data transfer network between tools, applications, CIM and DB
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure related architectures are up to date and DB integrity
  • Utilize big data analytic to identify area of improvement, not limiting to process yield, cycle time, Tool OEE
  • Lead / Support line automation projects and initiatives
  • Highly skilled in reporting software (Tableau, PowerBI etc), CIM, MES and DB architecture

  • Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication operations
  • Developed advanced specialized expertise within an analytical/scientific area to perform the most complex work
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.

Key Responsibilities
