Job Summary
Join Thales in Pont-Audemer, France, a site specializing in the manufacturing of SIM, SMD, and high-value electronic cards. We are looking for a Referent Wiring Assembly Operator to work within the electronic card production lines. This role involves applying manufacturing instructions, cleaning electronic cards, positioning, soldering, and retouching standard and complex components, assembling mechanical parts, performing simple and complex bonding, and making track cuts and wire modifications. A 3-month training period is planned in Cholet and Étrelles.
Must Have
- Apply manufacturing file elements
- Clean electronic cards (manual and machine)
- Position, solder, and retouch standard and complex components (fine pitch, ground plane rework, connectors)
- Assemble and retouch simple and complex mechanical assemblies (screws, threadlockers, shields)
- Perform simple and complex bonding (SMD, through-hole, encapsulation, potting)
- Perform track cuts and wire modifications
- Ensure rigorous application of instruction sheets, IPC rules, and Thales specifications
- Actively participate in continuous improvement within the workshop (quality, process, organization)
- Strong experience in a similar high-mix industrial environment, especially on complex electronic card rework
- IPC-A-610 certification
- Solid knowledge of electronic components and board assembly processes
- Good command of IT tools (Word, Excel) and technical data management tools (PALMA, MES OSALI)
- Understanding of industrial documentation bundles and technical documentation
- Skills in self-control, technical versatility, and compliance with ISO, ESD, and environmental standards
- Knowledge of continuous improvement approaches (5S, Kaizen, Dojo)
- Ability to train and raise awareness among teams to strengthen the quality culture

By joining us in Pont-Audemer, the "Norman Venice" located 30 minutes from the coast, you will integrate an industrial site bringing together SIM and SMD card manufacturing activities and high-value electronic cards.
Project / role / missions description
As part of the Pont-Audemer industrial project, we are looking for a Referent Wiring Assembly Operator. The position is part of the electronic card production lines. A 3-month training period is planned within the Cholet and Étrelles Industrial Competence Center to ensure mastery of Thales processes and standards.
Under the responsibility of the card production line manager, you will operate in a high-mix product environment, demanding in terms of quality, precision, and compliance with industrial standards.
Your main missions:
- Read and apply the elements of the manufacturing file.
- Clean electronic cards (manual and machine).
- Position, solder, and retouch standard and complex components (fine pitch, ground plane rework, connectors).
- Assemble and retouch simple and complex mechanical assemblies (screws, threadlockers, shields…).
- Perform simple and complex bonding (SMD, through-hole, encapsulation, potting).
- Perform track cuts and wire modifications.
- Ensure rigorous application of instruction sheets, IPC rules, and Thales specifications.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement within the workshop (quality, process, organization).

Your profile
Is your priority to guarantee a high level of quality on complex electronic cards, while contributing to the collective performance of the workshop? Do you have the ambition to put your technical expertise at the service of the teams, with an ability to coach and support operational staff?
You have strong experience in a similar high-mix industrial environment, particularly in the rework of complex electronic cards, and possess:
- IPC-A-610 certification.
- Solid knowledge of electronic components and board assembly processes.

- Understanding of industrial documentation bundles and technical documentation.
