Job Summary
At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the Elancourt site is one of Thales' most important technological centers. You will join a team of about ten project managers within the Sector's program and operations department. You will functionally lead a project team of about twenty multidisciplinary actors. Your mission is to ensure contract execution (costs, deadlines, quality), maintain good client and partner relationships, promote technical innovation, and coordinate internal stakeholders.
Must Have
- Ensure contract execution (costs, deadlines, quality)
- Maintain good relationships with clients and partners
- Promote technical innovation and product roadmaps of the STC Sector
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (DT, CCT, engineering, D Strategy, support services)
- Contribute to the STC Sector's revenue, cash, and EBIT
- Establish, consolidate, and present project reporting
- Minimum 4 years of experience in optronic or related technical/technological field and project management
- Previous experience as a technical, scientific, or commercial manager
- Master project management by planning and costs
- Understand and express yourself in English, both written and oral
- Experience in the field of optronics

Your daily life
At the heart of Saint Quentin en Yvelines, the site is one of Thales' most important technological centers. The diversity and technicality of the systems and equipment mobilize expertise in more than 80 professions in defense, high-tech security, and digital services solutions.
Within the STC Sector (Terrestrial Cryogenics/Cinema Sector), you will join a team of about ten project managers in the Sector's program and operations department. You will functionally lead a project team of about twenty multidisciplinary actors.
Your mission
- Guarantee the execution of notified contracts (costs, deadlines, quality)
- Ensure good relationships with the Client and partners
- Promote technical innovation and the STC Sector's product roadmaps in coordination with PLM, PLA, with and towards the technical authorities of the BL and the GBU.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders:
- DT, CCT, sector engineering, and D Strategy for technical specificities
- Support services (DFi, DJu&C, DQ, DCom, DAchats…) for contract execution and consolidation
- Directly contribute for your portfolio to the revenue, cash, and EBIT of the STC Sector, commensurate with the amounts of your contracts/orders.
- Establish, consolidate, and present project reporting to the sector management and the BL if applicable.
Your profile
With a Bac+5 diploma, you have at least 4 years of experience in the optronic or related technical and technological field and in project management. You have previous experience in a technical, scientific, or commercial manager position. You demonstrate rigor, curiosity, and a spirit of innovation. You master project management by planning and costs. You understand and express yourself in English, both written and oral.
You have worked in the field of optronics.
You have synthesis skills and are able to work in a team. You are able to evolve in a changing environment and are recognized for your spirit of innovation, dynamism, and rigor.

Within the sector, as an Upstream Studies Project Manager, you hold a key position in leading and coordinating the innovative projects for which you are responsible.
