Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will drive change within the Vehicles and Tactical Systems activity at the La Ferté Saint Aubin site. This role involves analyzing current processes, identifying improvement levers, and proposing solutions for performance management and process optimization. Key responsibilities include leading the development of automation, digitalization, and AI solutions, supporting operational teams, and collaborating with various departments. The engineer will also contribute to innovation through continuous technological watch in continuous improvement.

Must Have

  • Successfully lead change management in an industrial and digital environment
  • Be a key player in digital transformation and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a stimulating technological environment
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, specialized in continuous improvement, digital transformation, or lean management
  • Significant experience in continuous improvement projects within a digital transformation context, especially in engineering
  • Mastery of leadership and change management project leadership
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Power BI, Python, and AI

Your daily life

Within the Vehicles and Tactical Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site ensures research and development, production, testing, as well as all necessary "support" functions for the design of high-performance systems essential to the success of operational missions. Thales, with the German defense group DIEHL, has formed a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" with 165 employees, allowing both companies to combine their expertise in electronics and precision mechanics and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuses. This Joint-Venture is also present on the La Ferté Saint Aubin site.

  • Actively participate in change management by analyzing current processes and practices and identifying levers for improvement.
  • Define and propose adapted solutions for performance management, process improvement, and decision support.
  • Lead and supervise the development of automation, digitalization, and artificial intelligence solutions to optimize decision-making and operational processes.
  • Support operational teams in their application and use.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, engineering, management, and business teams from need identification to their use.
  • Contribute to the culture of innovation by ensuring continuous technological watch in the areas of continuous improvement.

Your profile

You have an engineering degree or equivalent, specialized in continuous improvement, digital transformation, or lean management, and have significant experience in continuous improvement projects in a digital transformation context, particularly in engineering:

  • You master leadership and the management of change management projects, analytical and synthesis skills, as well as project management.
  • Your taste for collaborative work and your good interpersonal skills, as well as your mastery of IT tools such as Power BI, Python, and AI, are recognized assets?
