Job Summary

This role is for a Cable Assembly Operator within the Electronic Manufacturing Service at Thales' Cholet site, specializing in defense radio communications, satellite communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions. The operator will work in the manual soldering island, responsible for soldering various components, assembling and reworking mechanical and coaxial cables, performing wire modifications, and maintaining components, all while adhering to IPC requirements. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, renewable, with potential for 2x8 shift work.

Must Have

  • At least one experience as a cable assembler
  • Ability to read a manufacturing file and ensure task traceability
  • Proficiency in positioning, soldering, and reworking CMS components (Class III)

Your daily life

Between Nantes and Angers, close to the Atlantic coast, our site in Cholet, with a dominant R&D focus and a strong industrial footprint, specializes in defense radio communications, satellite communication systems, and cybersecurity solutions.

You will join the Electronic Manufacturing Service within a team of 60 people under the responsibility of the Line Manager. As part of the manufacturing of electronic boards, you will work in the manual soldering island. This island of 8 people intervenes between the automatic component placement and the testing of the boards.

Your main missions will be to:

  • solder all types of components in compliance with IPC requirements
  • assemble and rework mechanical assemblies and coaxial cables
  • perform wire modifications
  • ensure component maintenance operations.

6-month fixed-term contract, renewable.

Position available for day work with possible shift to 2x8 team work to meet activity needs.

Your profile

You have at least one experience as a cable assembler.

You know how to read a manufacturing file and ensure task traceability.

You are comfortable positioning, soldering, and reworking CMS components (Class III) as well as performing wire modifications.

Your dexterity is proven, and you are accustomed to meticulous tasks.

You are recognized for your rigor and your team spirit.
