Narrative Designer

Gallic Entertainment is looking for a Narrative Designer who will help concept, write, script & implement story content for our upcoming game Siyah: Initiation. It is a Third-person action-adventure narrative-driven game.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of interactive narrative space in PC and console games and a passion for creating high-quality stories and interactive experiences. Most importantly has a passion for the genre with relevant experience.

It is an contractual role for 2 months which can be extended further basis the requirement.

Role & responsibilities

• Research and develop the world-building and a storyline that seamlessly integrates with the gameplay.
• Write compelling dialogues for game cutscenes and interactions.
• Design gameplay objectives, missions, and narrative elements that drive the player's progression. Work with the level and game designer to ensure gameplay and narrative alignment.
• Create well-developed and complex characters.
• Design branching narratives that offer players choices, affecting the game's outcome.
• Work with developers to design and implement any game systems for narrative, objectives, and dialogue.

• Expert knowledge of gaming software and hardware
• Adept at problem-solving
• Advanced communication skills.
• Knowledge of gameplay scripting
• Knowledge of game production pipeline and 3D game engines of the game production pipeline and 3D game engines
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5
• knowledge of any narrative tools like twine, articy or inklewrite is a plus.
