Job Summary

RoofStacks is seeking a Network Engineer with strong experience in banking processes to join their strategic project in the Banking/Fintech sector. The role involves managing LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructures, configuring and operating network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Key responsibilities include analyzing and resolving network faults, monitoring performance, ensuring network security, and adhering to banking regulations and internal security policies. The ideal candidate will contribute to capacity planning, implement changes according to ITIL processes, and support disaster recovery scenarios.

Must Have

  • At least 3 years of experience in network
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, VPN protocols
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper network and security products
  • Knowledge of firewall, VPN, and network security principles
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (SNMP, NetFlow)
  • Ability to adapt to banking or highly regulated institutional work principles
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Discipline in documentation, reporting, and process tracking

Good to Have

  • CCNA, CCNP, NSE, PCNSE network certifications

Network Engineer (Banking)

We focus on making a difference and designing the future with the technologies we develop. In addition to our head office in Istanbul/Ataşehir, we have branches in Antalya and Elazığ in Turkey. We have also strengthened our position in the global market by opening a new office in Austin, USA, which hosts technology giants from all over the world.

We are looking for a "Network Specialist" with strong experience, especially in banking processes, to take part in our strategic project in the Banking/Fintech field.

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out the installation, configuration, and operation activities of LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructures within the bank.
  • To manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, and provide daily operational support.
  • To perform analysis, resolution, and root cause analysis (RCA) of faults occurring in the network infrastructure.
  • To contribute to network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and improvement efforts.
  • To plan, implement, and document network changes in accordance with ITIL processes.
  • To carry out network security (ACL, segmentation, access rules, etc.) applications in coordination with security teams.
  • To work in compliance with banking regulations (BDDK, KVKK, etc.) and internal security policies.
  • To support network-side requirements in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity scenarios.
  • To ensure technical coordination with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • To create and keep up-to-date the documentation of all work performed.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from Electronic, Computer, Communication, or related engineering departments.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the network field.
  • Proficient in basic and intermediate level network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, VPN.
  • Experience working with network and security products such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc.
  • Knowledge of firewall, VPN, and network security principles.
  • Experienced in network monitoring and analysis tools (SNMP, NetFlow, monitoring systems, etc.).
  • Disciplined in documentation, reporting, and process tracking.
  • Able to adapt to working principles in banking or highly regulated institutions.
  • Possesses analytical thinking skills and competent in problem-solving.
  • Preferably has network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, PCNSE.
