Database Administrator (Banking)

Roof Stacks is seeking a Database Administrator with strong experience in banking processes for a strategic project in the Banking/Fintech sector. The role involves managing database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle), ensuring their accessibility, performance, and continuity. Key responsibilities include daily operations like monitoring, maintenance, backup, and recovery, analyzing performance issues, managing database security, responding to failures, and supporting disaster recovery scenarios. The candidate will also coordinate with system and application teams and ensure compliance with banking regulations.

Must Have

• Carry out installation, configuration, and operation activities of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Ensure the accessibility, performance, and continuity of database systems
• Perform database monitoring, maintenance, backup, and recovery operations
• Contribute to performance problem analysis, tuning studies, and capacity planning
• Manage authorization, access control, and security settings within database security
• Intervene in database failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and reporting
• Support database requirements in disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity scenarios
• Meet database needs in coordination with system and application teams
• Work in compliance with banking regulations (BDDK, KVKK, etc.) and internal security policies
• Prepare and keep updated the documentation of all operations performed
• Graduated from Electronic, Computer, Software, or related engineering departments
• At least 3 years of experience in database management
• In-depth knowledge of at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or Oracle databases
• Experienced in database installation, configuration, maintenance, and operation processes
• Knowledgeable in backup, restore, replication, and high availability (HA) architectures
• Experienced in performance monitoring and tuning

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, configuration, and operation activities of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) used within the bank.
• Ensure the accessibility, performance, and continuity of database systems.
• Perform database monitoring, maintenance, backup, and recovery operations within daily operations.
