Job Summary

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, enabling the production of chips and advanced displays. This role in Bangalore involves working closely with internal/external stakeholders and third-party vendors to update and create GSC training modules, manage classroom training logistics, track progress, and create reports. The position requires ownership in project/program management and the ability to prioritize projects based on stakeholder inputs, contributing to the advancement of world technology.

Must Have

  • Work closely with internal/external stakeholders to update and create new content for GSC training modules.
  • Work closely with 3rd party vendors to conduct GSC approved trainings within Applied Materials locations globally.
  • Make necessary arrangements for the classroom trainings (infra readiness- logistics, conf room, stationary, assigning point of contact etc).
  • Assign the trainings based on the defined metrics, track the progress and create customized reports for executives.
  • Ready to work on ad-hoc based projects that require ownership in projects/program management.
  • Able to prioritize the projects based on the inputs from key stakeholders.
  • Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and compiles data for scheduled or special reports and analysis.
  • Strong business & financial (P&L) acumen.
  • Able to understand key themes, financial terms and data points to create appropriate summaries.

Key Responsibilities

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion.
  • Ensures that all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
  • Ensures that all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, confidentiality and safety.
  • Ensures that the utilization of all material and financial resources is carried out in an effective manner.
  • Effectively work with other staff to maximize productivity for the project / program.

Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.

Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.
