Job Summary
The Sr. Agile Program Manager at CME Group will manage product and program execution, including Agile Program Management and functions outside the standard Product Operating Model. Must Have
- Contribute to the management of Product and Program execution.
- Manage Agile Program Management, Product execution, and non-standard functions.
- Lead work plans, backlog management, and team readiness.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Owners to review Program Increments and track OKRs.
- Proactively identify and manage impediments to product delivery.
- Facilitate the resolution of dependencies.
- Lead execution across multiple pods through weekly sync events.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters to define PI and Sprint calendars.
- Configure JIRA boards and coach teams on Lean-Agile practices.
- Utilize standardized reporting tools for transparency.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify scope gaps and define deliverables.
- Define outcome-oriented success criteria with sponsors.
- Analyze delivery patterns to lead corrective actions.
- Apply a global mindset to decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of project management or relevant industry experience.
- Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Experience configuring and managing work via JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, third parties, and senior leadership.
- Competence in analyzing delivery metrics and variances.
Good to Have
- Experience working within Financial Services or highly regulated industries.
- PMP certification.
- CSM certification.

Job Description
The Sr. Agile Program Manager contributes to the management of Product and Program execution at CME Group. This role requires the flexibility to manage Agile Program Management, Product execution, and functions outside the standard Product Operating Model (POM). You will be responsible for managing workstreams across multiple pods and broad cross-functional programs to deliver strategic business outcomes, while facilitating CME execution methodologies for stakeholders and participants.

What You’ll Do
- Steer Program Planning: Lead work plans including backlog management and team readiness; collaborate with Product Managers and Owners to review Program Increments and track progress against OKRs.
- Manage Risks & Dependencies: Proactively identify and manage impediments to product delivery; facilitate the resolution of dependencies to ensure a continuous flow of value.
- Drive Synchronization: Lead execution across multiple pods through weekly sync events, such as Scrum of Scrums or Steering meetings, ensuring alignment on deliverables.
- Facilitate Agile Best Practices: Collaborate with Scrum Masters to define PI and Sprint calendars, configure JIRA boards, and coach teams on Lean-Agile practices, including effective Demos and Retrospectives.
- Ensure Transparency: Utilize standardized reporting tools to provide a clear, cross-functional view of progress, decisions, and risks to T&E Leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead Non-POM Execution: Partner with business stakeholders to identify scope gaps, ensure projects are appropriately staffed, and define deliverables that align with corporate development milestones.
- Establish Success Metrics: Define outcome-oriented success criteria with sponsors and analyze delivery patterns to lead corrective actions when necessary.
- Navigate Global Dynamics: Apply a global mindset to decision-making, understanding organizational trends and effectively influencing teams across different regions.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 3+ years of project management or relevant industry experience, with a focus on delivering complex initiatives.
- Methodology Knowledge: Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and the ability to apply them practically in a corporate environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience configuring and managing work via JIRA and Confluence, or similar project management tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, third parties, and senior leadership to clarify requirements and drive results.
- Analytical Skills: Competence in analyzing delivery metrics and variances to report on program health accurately.
- A plus: Experience working within Financial Services or highly regulated industries.
- Certifications such as PMP or CSM.

The pay ranges for this role based on location are: Chicago: $91,400-$152,300 New York/New Jersey: $100,400-$167,400. Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
