Job Summary
eBay is seeking Data Analysts for the Landing Page Data team. This role focuses on automating manual processes, improving data quality, and building repeatable pipelines to support AI-driven systems. Analysts will use SQL and Python to identify opportunities, enhance landing page quality, and contribute to user experience and business outcomes by optimizing data workflows and building monitoring systems. The position involves analyzing data, evaluating performance, and communicating insights to stakeholders.
Must Have
- Build automated scripts, tools, and pipelines using Python, SQL, and workflow automation frameworks.
- Partner with Engineering/Data Science to operationalize ML-based data quality checks and automation.
- Develop monitoring systems to detect anomalies and trigger automated workflows.
- Analyze landing page and category-level data to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate performance of landing page variations, experiments, and new automation tools.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on data quality issues and propose scalable, automated solutions.
- Build dashboards, recurring reports, and automated reporting pipelines.
- Measure and quantify the impact of automation initiatives.
- Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- B Tech in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with strong hands-on SQL skills.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, ETL scripting.
- Experience with data collection, processing, and analysis, large datasets, and automated data pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of web analytics, experimentation, and A/B testing.
Good to Have
- Experience with workflow automation to data quality frameworks.
- Exposure to ML/AI-driven data workflows (classification, labeling, anomaly detection).
- Experience with dashboarding tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Knowledge of landing page optimization, taxonomy, or search/ranking ecosystems.

About the Role
We are looking for Data Analysts to join the Landing Page Data team. This is not a traditional reporting analyst role, we need analysts who are strong in SQL, Python, automation, and comfortable partnering with Engineering and Data Science to streamline and improve data workflows.
These analysts will play a critical role in automating manual processes, improving data quality, building repeatable pipelines, and supporting AI-driven systems that reduce operational overhead. You will use data to identify opportunities, enhance landing page quality, and contribute directly to user experience and business outcomes.
What You Will Do
Automation & Workflow Optimization
- Build automated scripts, tools, and pipelines using Python, SQL, and workflow automation frameworks to eliminate manual processes.
- Partner with Engineering/Data Science to operationalize ML-based data quality checks, labeling automation, and rule-based validation scripts.
- Develop monitoring systems to detect anomalies and trigger automated workflows where possible.
Data Analysis & Insights
- Analyze landing page and category-level data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Work with Product and Engineering to evaluate the performance of landing page variations, experiments, and new automation tools.
- Conduct root-cause analysis on data quality issues and propose scalable, automated solutions.
Reporting & Measurement
- Build dashboards, recurring reports, and automated reporting pipelines to track data quality, landing page performance, and workflow efficiency.
- Measure and quantify the impact of automation initiatives (e.g., time saved, quality lift, reduction in manual tasks).
- Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- B Tech in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience on strong hands-on SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, optimization techniques).
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, ETL scripting, and workflow optimization.
- Experience with:
- Data collection, processing, and analysis
- Working with large datasets
- Building automated data pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues.
- Understanding of web analytics, experimentation, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Ability to communicate insights and recommendations clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
