Overseas Contractor

This role is for an Overseas Contractor with 13 years of IT experience and a minimum of 5 years in Azure Database Migration. Key responsibilities include understanding SQL server landscapes, configuring and administering Azure SQL Server HADR, security, and key vault, and migrating SQL Server to Azure Cloud using various methods. The role requires driving cloud solutioning for complex migrations, planning storage, and installing/configuring SQL Server versions. Candidates must be willing to provide 24x7 support and work in shifts.

Must Have

• 13 years of IT experience
• Minimum 5 years experience in Azure Database Migration
• Willingness to provide 24x7 support and work in shifts
• Understanding customer DB SQL server landscape
• Configuring SQL Server HADR FCI AG in Azure
• Configuring and Administering Security Policies, Resource Governing, Azure Key Vault
• Migrating SQL Server from On-Premises to Azure Cloud
• Driving cloud solutioning for large complex migrations
• Planning Storage and Capacity Management
• Installing and configuring SQL Server (200x to 2022)
• Hands-on experience with Windows and SQL server issues and troubleshooting
• Disaster recovery skills

• Design, implement, and operate database systems for performance and reliability in Azure
• On-Prem/Cloud upgrade of SQL Server from Legacy to latest versions in Azure
• Good knowledge in TSQL scripting and PowerShell script

13 years of IT experience and minimum of 5 years of experience on Azure Database Migration with technically guided managed and governed the team Willing to provide 24x7 support flexible to work in the shifts

Primary skills

• Understanding customer DB SQL server landscape

• Configuring and Administering SecurityPoliciesResource GoverningAzure Key Vault

• Work with Internal stakeholders Customer stakeholders and Project Managers to understand the migration requirements and provide solutions accordingly
• Driving the cloud Solutioning Azure activities for large complex migration
• Plan Storage and Capacity Management and create logical models and build physical models
• Installing and configuring SQL Server all the version 200x to 2022
• Hands on experience on Windows and SQL servers issues and troubleshooting
