Job Summary
SoftwareOne is seeking a Principal Pre-Sales Engineer for a hybrid role in Kyiv, Ukraine. This position involves acting as a senior technical advisor for sales teams, shaping architectures, and providing pre-sales support across infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity offerings. The engineer will deliver consulting services, technical workshops, demos, and end-to-end PoCs, engaging with C-level executives and representing the company at conferences and customer briefings. The role requires turning complex technology into clear business value and driving high-impact solutions on global-scale projects.
Must Have
- Strong background in Sales Engineering or Professional Services.
- Deep knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, including security fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools and virtualization (vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Solid understanding of IP networking (CCNA/CCNP-level or similar).
- Experience with gateway security (email/web) and broader security technologies.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, including with C-level leaders.
- English proficiency for clear communication and work with technical documentation.

What You’ll Do
- Act as the senior technical advisor for sales teams, shaping architectures and solution concepts.
- Provide pre-sales support across infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity offerings.
- Deliver consulting services, technical workshops, demos, and end-to-end PoCs.
- Represent SoftwareOne at conferences, webinars, and customer briefings.
- Install and configure solutions from leading vendors (IBM, VMware by Broadcom/Omnissa, Red Hat, Veeam, Palo Alto, Okta, ZScaler, Cloudflare, and more).
- Engage confidently with senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
What we need to see from you
