Process Engineer (PVD)

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for chip and advanced display production. This Process Engineer (PVD) role involves designing, collecting data, analyzing, and compiling reports on process engineering experiments. Responsibilities include performing hardware characterization, troubleshooting issues, conducting Root Cause Analysis, measuring film properties, and generating technical documentation. The role also requires communication with customers and collaboration with vendors to implement new technology.

Must Have

• Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on moderately difficult process engineering experiments
• Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems
• Troubleshoot challenging but manageable problems, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve process engineering issues
• Measure film properties and organize data/reports for review
• Generate internal documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports
• Communicate and engage with customers to resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues or concerns, under general supervision
• Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers
• Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 2-4 years of related experience
