This Process Technician IV role involves preparing wafers for experimentation, operating reactors for etch processes, preparing samples for SEM/TEM, recording process conditions, and evaluating wafers. The position requires advanced specialized expertise in analytical/scientific areas, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineers to drive innovative solutions.
Must Have:
  • Prepare wafers for experimentation, including cleaning.
  • Load wafers, prepare and clean reactors for etch processes.
  • Prepare cross section samples for scanning electron microscope (SEM) and TEM.
  • Record process conditions and experimental observations.
  • Evaluate wafers and coupons, modify process recipes.
  • Prepare graphs and tables summarizing results.
  • Coordinate with process engineers on wafer evaluations.
  • Set up equipment for experiments.
  • Use quantitative wafer evaluation and process instrumentation knowledge.
  • Develop and publish best known method (BKM) procedures.

Key Responsibilities

*Shift assignment will be four days per week, 6AM to 6PM or 6PM to 6AM

  • Prepares wafers for experimentation to include cleaning. Loads wafers, prepares reactor for experimentation and cleans reactors. Operates reactor to perform etch process. Recommends performance of process system and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare cross section samples for scanning electron microscope (SEM) and TEM, including cutting, mounting coupons, cleaning, coating and submission.
  • Records process conditions and experimental observations. Evaluates wafers and coupons, including modification of the process recipes.
  • Prepares graphs and tables summarizing results.
  • Coordinates with process engineers on wafer evaluations. Sets up equipment for experiments.

Uses quantitative wafer evaluation and process instrumentation knowledge to draw conclusions from data. Assists in training lower level technicians.

  • Develop and publish best known method (BKM) procedures including, sample prep, and special sample handling.

Knowledgeably operates laboratory process equipment and instrumentation.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
