Job Summary
FOX59/CBS4 in Indianapolis is seeking an Executive Producer to lead its #1 morning news operation. Must Have
- Provide editorial leadership for eight hours of morning newscasts on FOX59 and CBS4
- Make confident, fast-paced decisions during breaking news and severe weather coverage
- Evaluate stories and build compelling, well-paced rundowns that reflect strong news judgment
- Coach, mentor, and develop producers to grow their skills, confidence, and leadership
- Set clear expectations and drive consistent, high-quality execution across all morning shows
- Collaborate with newsroom managers to ensure seamless coverage across dayparts
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, TV/Film, or equivalent experience
- 5 year minimum of television news experience, including significant line producing experience
- Proven ability to lead teams through breaking news and high-pressure situations
- Strong news judgment, editorial instincts, and commitment to journalistic integrity
- Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple shows and priorities simultaneously
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop talent
- Comfortably utilizing modern broadcast technology in a fast-paced, live environment

FOX59/CBS4 is seeking a strong, decisive newsroom leader to oversee the #1 morning news operation in Central Indiana. This is a high-impact leadership role for an experienced journalist who thrives in breaking news, builds winning teams, and knows how to elevate daily newscasts.
You will lead eight hours of morning news across two stations, supported by a team of more than 30 journalists and 8-10 producers each day. This role is focused on editorial leadership, producer development, and execution - no daily line producing except in rare, emergency situations.
Our stations operate from two state-of-the-art studios, each equipped with modern production technology, enabling dynamic and visually engaging live newscasts.

Qualifications & Skills
