About the role: 

Producers are the backbone of Amber, responsible for leading teams, driving projects, reporting progress, and managing expectations between partners and development teams.

Your goal is to get projects completed on time, within budget, at quality, and exceeding partner expectations.

You will be hands-on managing the day-to-day of a multidisciplinary development team, going deep into task tracking in Jira, driving delivery of milestones against deadlines, and overcommunicating with the team and its stakeholders.

The Quest:

  • Be the Scrum Master of a game development team.
  • Manage and track tasks in Jira.
  • Overcommunicate with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Run standups, planning, estimations, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate development among Engineering, QA, Art, Design.
  • Deliver milestones predictably on time, budget, and quality.
  • Foster accountability with unrelenting follow-through.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners.
  • Manage expectations and monitor satisfaction of stakeholders.
  • Create and track short and long-term schedules.
  • Own the team’s goals, communicate and challenge the goals.
  • Monitor team health, create a safe and empowering environment.
  • Bring clarity to roles and responsibilities within the team.
  • Navigate team dynamics, address conflicts, escalate problems.
  • Develop and improve team processes.
  • Write clear meeting agendas and take comprehensive notes.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate risks.

 

The Skills:

  • 5+ years of project management expertise.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master on a development team.
  • Experience running Scrum meetings (standups, planning, etc).
  • Mastery of using Jira for task tracking.
  • Strong familiarity with Jira to manage queries and workflows.
  • Excellent communication, with both teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive towards clarity.
  • Experience reporting on project status and risks.
  • Facilitation of effective retrospectives and post-mortems.
  • Function effectively under pressure in complex environments.

Nice to have:

  • Shipped one or more games in a production role.
  • Prior experience in mobile, social, or casino games.
  • People management experience.
  • Passion for fostering development processes and best practices.
  • Considerable experience playing games.
  • Strong familiarity with complex spreadsheets.
  • Experience validating and creating proposals for new projects.
