Production Assistant

The Studio Production Assistant will support all aspects of production in a live streaming broadcast environment. Responsibilities include operating teleprompters, assisting with set construction and procurement, and maintaining studio appearance. This on-site, temporary part-time/ad-hoc position requires 1-3 years of production experience and a knack for picking up new skills, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Must Have

• Operate teleprompter in control room for studio talent
• Move and handle props and sets during productions
• Construction, maintenance, installation and operation of props, sets and other production elements
• Maintain the appearance of studios, including cleaning of the set and floors
• Provide assistance to the set design/art department/procurement teams
• Assist procurement team with product returns and donations
• Assist the directors and crew as needed
• Run errands in a local radius
• 1-3 years production experience or relevant degree
• Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness and skill to create creative content with little direction
• Demonstrate good creative instincts/judgment

Good to Have

• General knowledge of Adobe Premiere
• Videography experience

Must have an excellent attitude and a knack for picking up new skills. This is a fully on-site position on a temporary part-time/ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1-3 years production experience or relevant degree required.
• Preferred: general knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
• Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software (videography experience helpful)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness and skill to create creative content with little direction when needed.
