Job Summary

Steamroller Animation is seeking a Production Coordinator to support the Production Manager/Producer and project leadership. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, client communication, task tracking, and ensuring projects stay on budget. The coordinator will also drive workflow improvements, assist with scheduling, and report weekly on project status. Candidates should have 1-2 years of production experience and Shotgrid proficiency.

Must Have

  • 1-2 years experience in production of sequential work.
  • Required Shotgrid experience.

  • Manage client deliveries and maintain regular communication.
  • Oversee project task tracking and related software.
  • Ensure work stays on bid, identify issues, and develop solutions.
  • Communicate with internal departments for asset delivery.
  • Help manage file versioning software.
  • Oversee and drive production workflow improvement.
  • Report weekly to Head of Production with updates.

What you'll do

  • Supports the Production Manager/Producer and projects Leadership with day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in prepping, recording, and documenting the team’s internal reviews in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Manage the preparations for client deliveries and maintain regular communication with the client.
  • Oversee project task tracking and all related software, including identifying any adjustments needed early on.
  • Ensure all work is staying on bid; this includes being able to identify potential issues early on and developing solutions to stay on target.
  • Communicate and interact with other internal departments, and ensure that plans/assets are delivered to them in line with schedules.
  • Help manage any file versioning software we’re responsible for, both internally and externally.
  • Regularly convey to the team when there are new assets or publishes needed.
  • Work alongside the project's full production team in any budgeting, scheduling, or task-tracking request made.
  • Oversee and drive the improvement of the production workflow of the entire project; this includes project scheduling, milestone benchmarks, resource management, and communication of information.
  • Help creative leadership in defining a full plan for their project that will allow both creative and operational goals to be achieved.
  • Report weekly to the Head of Production with project updates and potential red flags.
  • Potentially aid in managing a Production Assistant, based on project size.
  • Contribute to team efforts and perform additional tasks to support department goals as needed.

  • 1-2 years experience in production of sequential work.
  • Shotgrid experience is required, Jira/Confluence and Perforce are preferred.
  • Customer Service or Outsourced Client experience.
