Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a Production Director/ Associate Director to join China’s Warcraft Franchise team, directly reporting to the Managing Director, China Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to serve our player base in China. You will be instrumental in liaising with our partner in China and Blizzard’s Game Development Production & Leadership teams in California.

Ideal candidates must have an extensive knowledge and understanding of the Warcraft franchise, including but not limited to World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Warcraft Rumble, along with a deep understanding of various genre of games, business model and platforms in the region and empathy for our players.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an important and effective liaison between our partner in China and Blizzard’s Game Development Production & Leadership teams in California
• Working with our partner and the Development Team to understand and prioritize issues in development or live service to drive acquisition while maintaining a healthy community; propose compelling features to improve engagement, retention, and monetization which are best suited for our diverse player base in China.
• Maintain a centralized "source of truth" for release, content, and major publishing beats.
• Coordinate timing of content release dates in China and negotiate conflicts among release dates for China and Rest of World.
• Synchronize internal cross-functional teams and external partners support for Quality Assurance in China for operations efficiency and efficacy.
• Working closely with each Game Team to champion, evaluate and establish potential product co-development opportunities with our partners or in-house in China

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5-8+ years of working experience in China’s gaming industry
• Deep knowledge of the performance metrics that drive game performance
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Warcraft franchise including but not limited to World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Warcraft Rumble
• An avid gamer in many variety genres of game for both PC and Mobile platform in and outside of China.
• Vast experience with solid grasp in various type of game play, retention and monetization model etc.
• Impressive track record as an effective collaborator and communicator across global and regional teams in varying time-zones; comfortable with international and domestic travel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English
