Job Summary

The Professional Services Consultant at Proofpoint will oversee implementations and consultative engagements for Proofpoint Data Security products, including DSPM, ITM, Email DLP, Endpoint DLP, CASB, SaaS Isolation, and AAC. This role involves developing new services, implementing best practices, and assisting with customer escalations. Consultants align client business priorities with data protection strategies, reducing security risk by mapping technology to organizational processes. The role requires delivering innovative solutions and working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define data security programs.

Must Have

  • Oversee implementations and consultative engagements for Proofpoint Data Security products

  • Reduce clients’ security risk by mapping technology to organizational processes and resources

  • Work with technical resources, analysts, project sponsors, and executive levels
  • Provide excellent service delivery and communication
  • Thoroughly scope engagements through assessing client’s operations and business processes
  • Gather key business and functional requirements, and make recommendations to optimize Proofpoint technologies
  • Provide strategic program design solutions that allow clients to identify, protect, monitor, and manage their most protected data, and people
  • Work with broader Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product teams to address customer concerns and manage escalations
  • Work closely with corresponding sales organization to ensure customer needs are met and customer satisfaction continues to rank high
  • Present updates to management identifying risks, challenges, and proposed solutions

Good to Have

  • Basic familiarity with Data Loss Prevention, Endpoint Security, or Cloud Security concepts
  • Exposure to Microsoft or Symantec DLP solutions

Job Description

The Professional Services Consultant will oversee implementations and consultative engagements for the Proofpoint Data Security products. This includes Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) Insider Threat Management (ITM) On-Premise and SaaS, Email DLP, Endpoint DLP, Cloud Application Security Broker (CASB), SaaS Isolation & Adaptive Access Control (AAC), and Proofpoint Isolation.

This individual will develop new services, implement best practices, and assist in customer escalations as needed. The ideal candidate has the demonstrated ability to ensure successful service delivery and customer success to support deployment of Data Security products. Consultants are service delivery experts who manage and align client business priorities with data protection strategies. As subject matter experts on a wide spectrum of information security models, best practices, and operational strategies, our Consultants reduce clients’ security risk by mapping technology to organizational processes and resources.

This role is challenged with delivering innovative ideas and solutions that derive measurable results. The Consultant must be confident in working with technical resources, analysts, project sponsors, and executive levels to provide excellent service delivery and communication which includes product deliverables, conducting conference calls/meetings, consulting process reviews/workshops, and briefings. The position requires the ability to work with non-technical managers to develop technical and business requirements for their company’s custom data security program.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Thoroughly scope engagements through assessing the client’s operations and business processes, gathering key business and functional requirements, and making recommendations to optimize Proofpoint technologies.
  • Provide strategic program design solutions that allow clients to identify, protect, monitor, and manage their most protected data, and people.
  • Work with the broader Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product teams to address customer concerns and manage escalations.
  • Work closely with your corresponding sales organization to ensure customer needs are met and customer satisfaction continues to rank high.
  • Present updates to management identifying risks, challenges, and proposed solutions.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Working understanding of IT consulting or related fields.
  • Basic familiarity with Data Loss Prevention, Endpoint Security, or Cloud Security concepts is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of cloud applications.
  • Exposure to Microsoft or Symantec DLP solutions is desirable.
  • Preferred experience in customer-facing role.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service, with the confidence to engage in-person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through to completion.

Base Pay Range: 108,080.00 - 169,840.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 90,580.00 - 142,340.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 81,130.00 - 127,490.00 USD
