Job Summary
The IGNITE Digital Electronics Team is seeking an experienced product development lead to manage the design, development, testing, and integration of digital electronics systems for Lockheed Martin space or missile systems. This role involves critical skills in FPGA/ASIC design/test, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design/test, Embedded Software, FPGA Gateware, Systems Engineering, Systems Integration & Test, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Electrical Engineering. The position requires leveraging engineering and management principles to deliver products meeting customer specifications and developing program management experience.
Must Have
- Experience in digital electronics or related industry
- Experience with project or program management
- Experience working with multiple functions (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain)
- Demonstrated Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Strong communication skills
- US Citizen with active Secret clearance
Good to Have
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Master of Business Administration, or Master of Engineering Management
- Experience managing subcontracts
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs
- Experience with proposals and cost estimating process
- Proven ability to lead in a multi-site environment, including experience managing virtual teams, facilitating remote meetings, and using remote collaboration tools

- Demonstrated experience with developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and budgets, and the ability to use IMS and budget data to track program performance, identify trends, and make corrective actions when necessary

Job Description
The IGNITE Digital Electronics Team is looking for an experienced product development lead to lead the design, development, test and integration of digital electronics systems.
Digital products include digital processing, software defined radio, command & data handling, controls & avionics, and any other digital systems that are utilized on Lockheed Martin space or missile systems.
The critical skills utilized in this role will include experience managing FPGA and/or ASIC design/test, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design/test, Embedded Software, FPGA Gateware, Systems Engineering/Requirements Management, Systems Integration & Test, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Electrical Engineering.
The Product Development Lead role is a critical one that will build your skills and knowledge in technical disciplines required to integrate, test, and qualify a complex digital product as well as develop your program management experience. At the same time, you will leverage core engineering and management principles; enabling your team to be successful in delivering a product meets all customer specifications and meets or exceeds the needs of our customers.
Starting in January the primary schedule for U.S. based Space employees will be a flexible 9x80 schedule, and the majority of our employees will be expected to work onsite.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in digital electronics or related industry
- Experience with project or program management
- Demonstrated experience in working with multiple functions and disciplines such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
- Demonstrated Control Account Manager (CAM) experience, including managing program budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Strong communication skills
- US Citizen. Active Secret clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
