Project Manager (f/m/d) Defense

Your mission as Project Manager:

• You lead all direct customer interactions for the project, strategically negotiate contract scope amendments alongside the sales manager and manage all related change requests in strict compliance with company policies
• Cultivate and maintain strong strategic partnerships with key decision-makers across functional organizations (Engineering, Finance, Quality, etc.) to continuously improve processes, ensuring high quality, on-time delivery, and clear accountability
• You drive the entire project lifecycle to guarantee customer satisfaction and profitability, this includes defining staffing, budget, timelines, workload, and all resource requirements while rigorously respecting the defined cost objectives
• Ensuring project visibility by securing necessary resources and proactively identifying and resolving critical issues, oversee all project risks and action plans, culminating in the preparation and presentation of comprehensive monthly program dashboards
• You expertly manage all financial aspects of the project (costs, margin, cash, revenue, scope, and schedule) with a continuous focus on precise planning, risk management, and timely escalation, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a matrixed and ambiguous environment

What we look forward to:

• A university degree (Master +) or a diploma from a recognized university or college in engineering
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience (Program Management, Engineering Management)
• Eligibility for Security Clearance Level Ü2 and proven experience in project management, ideally with customer BAAINBw
• Strong skills in the usage of ERP tools (SAP), Office Applications and Jira. Knowledge of French, radar, and/or optronic technologies is desirable
• Certification (IPMA Level C or equivalent), the ability to deal with complex systems and very demanding customers, a customer-oriented mindset, effective communication skills, capacity to work under high stress, and being a Team player
