Job Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist (Dev Tester) protects build quality by collaborating with developers, providing feedback, testing, and monitoring feature implementation. Responsibilities include bug hunting, reporting, and verifying fixes, ensuring all issues are efficiently recorded. The role involves completing assigned testing tasks, examining results, identifying test areas, and contributing to test optimization.

- Scripting knowledge or basic programming skills
- Web testing experience
Must Have:
- Complete all assigned development testing tasks including test plan completion, feedback on features, investigative tasks, and ad hoc testing.
- Examine testing results and submit reports to the development teams.
- Work closely with assigned teams to identify areas to test and construct relevant test cases.
- Identify and communicate risks related to the quality of the game.
- Follow up on and verify correction of bugs.
- Ensure all issues are recorded in an efficient, complete, and informative manner.
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control in the video game or software industry.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance concepts, debugging processes, and procedures.
- Experience with Jira, Unity tooling, specialized triaging, mobile devices, and android builds.
- Experience writing and executing test plans.
- Ability to isolate issues and provide reliable reproduction steps with probability assessment to inform risk management.

As the Dev Tester, you protect the quality of our build. You collaborate closely with the developers during all stages of development, providing qualitative feedback as well as testing and monitoring feature implementation. You hunt and report bugs and verify fixes, making sure no character ever renders with their head inside out.
What you’ll do
- Work effectively to complete all assigned development testing tasks: test plan completion, feedback on features, investigative tasks, ad hoc testing
- Examine testing results and submit reports to the development teams
- Work closely with assigned teams to identify areas to test and construct relevant test cases
- Identify and communicate risks related to the quality of the game
- Follow up on and verify correction of bugs
- Ensure all issues are recorded in an efficient, complete, and informative manner
- Contribute to coming up with ideas for automated tests & solutions to optimize the testing process.

You have a skilled eye for spotting essential details and the patience to locate hard-to-find bugs. You can work autonomously and bring great communication and collaboration skills to the team. Besides the above we are looking for someone aligned with our studio’s core values and the following skills and experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in quality control in the video game or software industry, or other relevant training or experience
- Knowledge of software quality assurance concepts (ex. Agile development methodologies), debugging processes, and procedures including experience with Jira, Unity tooling, specialized triaging, mobile devices, & android builds.
- Experience writing and executing test plans
- Being able to isolate issues and provide reliable reproduction steps with probability assessment to inform risk management
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, curiosity, resourcefulness, and plenty of flexibility
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Scripting knowledge or basic programming skills, and Web testing experience would be an asset
