Job Summary
The R2R Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of the monthly management reporting cycle and its underpinning processes for ANZ and Asia. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in R2R processes, including general ledger accounting and financial statutory reporting. The manager will lead and support the Kuala Lumpur-based team, serving as the primary liaison for FABS team members in KL and the broader APAC finance function. The role requires agility to lead through change and empower the team to deliver outcomes.
Must Have
- Oversee and effectively manage a geographically diverse R2R team

- Deliver accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, account reconciliations and financial reporting

- Analyse results and deliver insights to a range of Finance stakeholders
- Contribute to external reporting, including bi-annual statutory and investor relations reporting
- Deliver strong financial controls and record financial results in-line with SEEK Group accounting policies and Australian Accounting Standards
- Support the bi-annual audit process for the relevant business segment and liaise with external auditors
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Minimum of 10+ years post qualifying experience
- CA / CPA designation or equivalent
- Experience in management of financial close process in large multinational companies
- Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls and financial policies and procedures
- Experience managing remote team members
- Hands-on working experience with Workday Financials, Oracle ARCS & Reporting, and Power BI
- Experience working in a shared services environment

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager R2R APAC the R2R Manager is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of the monthly management reporting cycle and the processes that underpin it for ANZ and Asia. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in our R2R processes including general ledger accounting and financial statutory reporting. The Manager role will be a key liaison point with various Finance functions.
As the only R2R Finance Manager on the ground in KL, this role will provide direct leadership and support to the Kuala Lumpur-based team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison point for various FABS team members outside of R2R in the KL office, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between KL based team members and the broader APAC finance function.
The incumbent is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the agility to pivot and lead the team through change, drive motivation and empower the whole team to deliver outcomes
Responsibilities
- Oversee and effectively manage a geographically diverse R2R team, ensuring accuracy of all data produced by the team
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that promotes knowledge sharing, problem solving and continuous improvement
- Execute strategies to optimise R2R processes, streamline workflows, improve financial controls and enhance overall performance
- Deliver accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, account reconciliations and financial reporting
- Drive cross-team collaboration - working closely with a variety of stakeholders across Finance including Finance Business Partners, FP&A, Financial Control, Investor Relations and other Finance Centres of Excellence
- Analyse results and deliver insights to a range of Finance stakeholders
- Contribute to external reporting - own and deliver financial information included in the bi-annual statutory and investor relations reporting
- Deliver strong financial controls and record financial results in-line with SEEK Group accounting policies and Australian Accounting Standards
- Support the bi-annual audit process for the relevant business segment and liase with external auditors where necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Minimum of 10+ years post qualifying experience, preferably in a large complex organisation
- CA / CPA designation or equivalent
- A confident, genuine people leader with experience coaching and developing both teams and individuals and driving continuous change
- Ability to deal with ambiguity
- Proven track record in challenging the status quo and continuously improving processes and outputs, including via automation and system enhancements
- Ability to work within an ever changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills and experience presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationships across senior stakeholders within Finance and across the business
- Experience in management of financial close process in large multinational companies
- Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls and financial policies and procedures
- Experience managing remote team members, including people from other cultures
- Hands-on working experience with Workday Financials, Oracle ARCS & Reporting, and Power BI
