Our client, an innovative AI technology company, is seeking a People & Culture Manager to support rapid expansion in Hong Kong and US operations. This hands-on builder role is for an ambitious systems thinker who thrives on creating operational excellence from the ground up. Responsibilities include building clear guides, refining HR activities like performance check-ins and benefits, overseeing the full employee journey, and maintaining HR platforms. The role also involves collaborating with Legal, Finance, Recruiting, and HR teams to streamline processes and facilitate market expansion.

Must Have

  • Run and refine regular HR activities (performance check-ins, feedback, advancement, benefits)
  • Oversee the full employee journey (onboarding to departure, role changes, regulatory compliance)
  • Support employees and managers with questions and create self-service tools
  • Maintain HR platforms (Lattice, Notion) for current, accessible, synced information
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Recruiting, and HR on new hires, compensation, contracts, and market expansion

As they expand rapidly across Hong Kong and US operations, they're seeking a People Operations Professional to support this growth. This hands-on builder role is for an ambitious systems thinker who strives for excellence and thrives on creating operational excellence from the ground up.

What You Will Do

  • Build out clear guides and resources — step-by-step procedures, quick reference materials, and ready-to-use formats that help everyone navigate processes
  • Run and refine regular HR activities including performance check-ins, team feedback collection, advancement processes, and benefits administration
  • Oversee the full employee journey, from welcoming new hires through to departures, role changes, and staying on top of regulatory requirements
  • Help employees and managers with their questions while creating tools that let people find answers on their own, and drive projects that simplify workflows and get us ready for growth
  • Keep our HR platforms running well (like Lattice and Notion), making sure information stays current, easy to find, and properly synced
  • Work alongside teams in Legal, Finance, Recruiting and HR to keep everything moving — new hires, compensation, contract changes, and expansion into new markets

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor degree with 6+ years working in people management or HRs functions, with a fast-growing startup experience is highly preferred
  • Track record of building and refining operational workflows that can scale and adapt as the organization grows
  • Experience independently running employee lifecycle programs
  • Ability to create clear guides and materials that make complicated processes easy to understand and navigate
  • Helpful, solution-focused mindset when supporting employees and responding to their questions
  • Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously and refining programs with minimal oversight
  • Experience with tools like Slack, Lattice, and Notion is a plus
  • Fluent in both Cantonese and English
