Key responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Licensing & Certification: Organize and manage the process of obtaining licenses in new jurisdictions, including preparation and submission of legal, financial, and technical documentation
- Regulatory Coordination: Interact with regulators and certification bodies (e.g., GLI, BMM), supervise audits, and ensure full compliance with licensing requirements
- Compliance Processes: Develop and implement compliance methodologies (policies, procedures, control points), establish sustainable regulatory reporting systems, and monitor legislative changes
- Market Entry Strategy: Evaluate and recommend the optimal legal entity setup and supply chain model for each regulated market in collaboration with Legal and Finance
- Commercial Alignment: Coordinate the preparation of market-specific commercial proposals, ensuring they are compliant and realistic from regulatory, legal, and financial perspectives
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate regulatory requirements into actionable tasks for technical and product teams; collaborate with Legal, Finance, Product development and Business to align compliance with market objectives
- Risk Management: Identify and assess regulatory risks when entering or operating in markets, develop mitigation strategies, and provide regular compliance reports to senior management
Scope of Responsibility
- Full ownership of the licensing and compliance process across all jurisdictions where the company operates
- Accountability for the regulatory feasibility of each market entry model, including the choice of legal entity structure and supply chain setup
- Ensuring that commercial offers for regulated markets are both compliant and sustainable from a regulatory and financial standpoint
- Methodological leadership: setting and maintaining compliance standards for Country Project Managers and other stakeholders involved in market entry
- Coordination of all interactions with regulators, auditors, and certification bodies
- Timely communication of compliance risks and regulatory changes to the business, with escalation to senior management only in cases of strategic or critical impact
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, or legal roles in iGaming. Direct experience in obtaining licenses and passing certification audits
- Strong understanding of regulatory processes across multiple jurisdictions
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale compliance processes
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to adapt messaging for technical, legal, and business stakeholders
- Leadership mindset: readiness to act as the owner of compliance processes, not just a coordinator
