SOFTSWISS is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager – Head to expand its team. This role involves full ownership of licensing and compliance processes across all jurisdictions, ensuring regulatory feasibility for market entry, and coordinating commercial offers. The manager will interact with regulators, develop compliance methodologies, and manage regulatory risks, collaborating closely with legal, finance, product, and business teams to align compliance with market objectives.
Must Have:
  • Organize and manage the process of obtaining licenses in new jurisdictions.
  • Interact with regulators and certification bodies, supervise audits, and ensure full compliance.
  • Develop and implement compliance methodologies and establish regulatory reporting systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend optimal legal entity setup and supply chain model.
  • Coordinate preparation of market-specific commercial proposals.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable tasks for technical and product teams.
  • Identify and assess regulatory risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide compliance reports.
  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, or legal roles in iGaming.
  • Direct experience in obtaining licenses and passing certification audits.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale compliance processes.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Leadership mindset.

Key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Licensing & Certification: Organize and manage the process of obtaining licenses in new jurisdictions, including preparation and submission of legal, financial, and technical documentation
  • Regulatory Coordination: Interact with regulators and certification bodies (e.g., GLI, BMM), supervise audits, and ensure full compliance with licensing requirements
  • Compliance Processes: Develop and implement compliance methodologies (policies, procedures, control points), establish sustainable regulatory reporting systems, and monitor legislative changes
  • Market Entry Strategy: Evaluate and recommend the optimal legal entity setup and supply chain model for each regulated market in collaboration with Legal and Finance
  • Commercial Alignment: Coordinate the preparation of market-specific commercial proposals, ensuring they are compliant and realistic from regulatory, legal, and financial perspectives
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate regulatory requirements into actionable tasks for technical and product teams; collaborate with Legal, Finance, Product development and Business to align compliance with market objectives
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess regulatory risks when entering or operating in markets, develop mitigation strategies, and provide regular compliance reports to senior management

Scope of Responsibility

  • Full ownership of the licensing and compliance process across all jurisdictions where the company operates
  • Accountability for the regulatory feasibility of each market entry model, including the choice of legal entity structure and supply chain setup
  • Ensuring that commercial offers for regulated markets are both compliant and sustainable from a regulatory and financial standpoint
  • Methodological leadership: setting and maintaining compliance standards for Country Project Managers and other stakeholders involved in market entry
  • Coordination of all interactions with regulators, auditors, and certification bodies
  • Timely communication of compliance risks and regulatory changes to the business, with escalation to senior management only in cases of strategic or critical impact

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, licensing, or legal roles in iGaming. Direct experience in obtaining licenses and passing certification audits
  • Strong understanding of regulatory processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale compliance processes
  • Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to adapt messaging for technical, legal, and business stakeholders
  • Leadership mindset: readiness to act as the owner of compliance processes, not just a coordinator
