Job Summary

The Resilience Security Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of Ubisoft's pan-Canadian studios, covering employees, suppliers, and visitors. The primary mandate involves leading and supervising daily physical security operations, incident response, and emergency management nationwide. This role requires providing informational, functional, and technical security expertise to enhance the current physical security posture by developing procedures, implementing controls, and mitigating potential risks.

Must Have

  • Ensure compliance with Global Security and Risk Management policies.
  • Participate in developing and implementing the pan-Canadian security strategy.
  • Maintain physical security policies and standards.
  • Conduct on-site and remote physical security assessments and corrective actions.
  • Manage and supervise security guard work orders and specifications.
  • Actively participate in planning and deploying security projects.
  • Lead emergency situation resolution and crisis management.
  • Provide physical security requirements for local events.
  • Assess legal and regulatory requirements for physical health and safety.
  • Coordinate internal training on risk prevention and awareness.
  • Serve as a key member of the health and safety committee.
  • Support security contract management and system implementation (access control, alarms, CCTV).
  • Develop and maintain security indicators and management reports.
  • Contribute to other resilience initiatives.
  • Support and control security budget allocations.
  • Perform all other related security tasks.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of Genetec and Entrapass software.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks.
  • Knowledge of the Building Code.
  • Knowledge of health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Technical certification in IT.
  • Security certification.
  • ASIS PSP or equivalent certification.
  • Business continuity management certification (ABCP, CBCP).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will play an essential role in ensuring the health and safety of our pan-Canadian studios, for employees, suppliers, and visitors. The main mandate will consist of leading and supervising daily physical security operations, incident response, and emergency management across the country. He/she will provide informational, functional, and technical security expertise to guarantee and improve the current physical security posture by developing and maintaining procedures and processes, implementing controls and security systems to mitigate potential risks.

What you will do

  • As a physical security expert, ensure compliance with the policies and regulations of the Global Security and Risk Management team;
  • Participate in the development of the pan-Canadian security strategy, define requirements and priorities and oversee its implementation;
  • Maintain physical security policies and standards;
  • Conduct on-site and remote physical security assessments and ensure appropriate corrective actions;
  • Manage and supervise security guard work orders and specifications;
  • Actively participate in the planning and deployment of security projects, using your expertise to improve our security infrastructure;
  • Lead the resolution of emergency situations, using your expertise to manage crises and ensure the safety of our personnel and assets;
  • Provide physical security requirements for internal and external local events;
  • Conduct assessments of legal and regulatory requirements regarding physical health and safety;
  • Coordinate internal training on prevention and awareness of potential risks and threats;
  • Participate as a key member of the health and safety committee, bringing ideas and strategies to promote a safe working environment;
  • Support the management of related security contracts in collaboration with purchasing, the implementation of systems such as access control, alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, and video camera systems (CCTV);
  • Develop and maintain security indicators and management reports;
  • Contribute to other resilience-related initiatives;
  • Support and control security budget allocations;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to write clear and well-structured documents;
  • Ability to make quick decisions in a constantly evolving environment;
  • Incident management, including de-escalation procedures;
  • Autonomous;
  • More than 7 years of experience in the security field or relevant experience;
  • Practical experience; physical access controls, video surveillance, physical intrusion mitigation;
  • Practical experience in implementing physical security;
  • Technical knowledge in security and business continuity management methodology and crisis management;
  • Knowledge of Genetec and Entrapass software is a plus;
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks is a plus;
  • Knowledge of the Building Code is a plus;
  • Knowledge of health and safety codes and regulations is a plus;
  • Microsoft Office products;
  • A technical certification in IT is a plus;
  • A security certification is a plus;
  • An ASIS PSP or equivalent certification is a plus;
  • A business continuity management certification (ABCP, CBCP) is a plus.

*This role requires flexible hours depending on operational needs (e.g., special events), you may be called outside normal office hours and may be required to assist with incident management at night and on weekends.

*National travel may be necessary.
