Mission:
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue and supporting the success of the sales department. This role involves researching, identifying, and securing new business opportunities while also managing administrative tasks and providing coordination to ensure efficient team operations. The Sales Manager works closely with internal teams and external partners to build strong client relationships, drive sales performance, and contribute to the organization’s overall growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive revenue by securing group and partner sales opportunities through inbound lead management and targeted outbound strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with associations, organizations, ticket sellers, and sales partners through consistent communication and industry engagement.
- Oversee contracting, onboarding, and servicing of partners across distribution platforms to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop presentations, reports, and promotional tools that support sales initiatives.
- Lead familiarization tours, partner training, and promotional activities to strengthen performance and brand visibility.
- Analyze sales results and market trends to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, contracts, and databases in CRM.
- Represent the company professionally at trade shows, conventions, and networking events.
Daily tasks
- Manage inbound leads and conduct outbound prospecting to secure bookings.
- Oversee contracts, partner setup, and account servicing across sales and ticketing platforms.
- Create and update sales materials, presentations, and reports.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for contracts, profiles, and communications.
- Monitor and review sales performance to track progress toward revenue goals.
Teamwork
- Partner with Sr. Sales Manager and Director of Revenue and Ticketing to develop strategies and meet targets.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, finance, operations, technical and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to shared sales resources and support team initiatives.
Customer interaction
- Develop and nurture relationships with partners, associations, and ticket sellers.
- Deliver partner training and support to keep attraction and promotions top of mind.
- Represent the organization at trade shows, networking events, and familiarization tours.
- Create and maintain relationship with AREA15 events and sales team, DMCs, meeting planner, group representatives and vendors.
Tools used
- CRM for account management, reporting, and communications.
- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for presentations and reports.
- Ticketing and distribution platforms for partner setup and ongoing support.
Problem-solving
- Resolve partner concerns related to contracts, ticketing, or promotional needs.
- Adjust sales strategies to consistently meet revenue goals in a changing market.
- Identify and correct data or account discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
Brand representation
- Represent the company with professionalism, enthusiasm, and reliability.
- Demonstrate responsiveness and a solutions-oriented approach in all interactions.
- Uphold brand standards through clear communication and consistent service.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- College degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years in-market (Las Vegas) group and leisure sales experience. Ticketing and box office experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, excels in sales and negotiation, and is highly organized to manage contracts, leads, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in CRM, ticketing and distribution platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite, and possess analytical skills to review sales performance.
- Results-driven, motivated, and passionate about sales and the success of a new Las Vegas attraction. They are professional, reliable, solutions-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Adaptable and flexible, they can manage changing priorities, while maintaining attention to detail across multiple projects.
