The Senior 3D Character Artist is instrumental in overseas game project development, organizing and executing the entire process from requirements, planning, production, review, acceptance, to settlement.
Skills & requirements responsibilities
Oversee internal and external management for overseas game project development, organizing and executing the entire process from requirements, planning, production, review, acceptance, to settlement.
Develop detailed plans and roadmaps for game art development needs, track execution to drive project progress, and conduct regular summaries.
Manage communication and coordination regarding development progress, costs, and quality, both internally and externally.
Support company-wide supplier management work.
Assist the functional manager with team management tasks.
Required qualifications
- Strong modeling skills, solid artistic foundation, and certain hand-painting abilities.
- Good understanding of feedback, ability to grasp key points, knowledge of game products, and understanding of engine principles.
- Proficiency in various 3D production software and familiarity with commonly used engines (Unity/Unreal).
- Priority given to those with experience independently completing full-process AAA character production, equipment, complex cloth patterning, low-poly baking, and specialized texture work.
- Precise sculpting of human/creature/equipment forms, detailed body and face, and accurate restoration of original concept art.
- Thorough understanding of project requirements and clear production idea.
- Ability to handle test-level project tasks and summarize lessons learned post-testing for mass production reference.
- Deep understanding of material artistic expression beyond surface level (e.g., how clothing folds form under force, causes of wear/tear and stains).
