Senior Database Administrator (SQL Server & Azure)

Integrant is seeking a Senior Database Administrator with expertise in SQL Server and Azure. The role involves managing and optimizing databases, ensuring high performance, availability, sustainability, and security. Responsibilities include configuring servers, monitoring health, resolving issues, automating processes, assisting developers with query tuning, and providing critical production support. The ideal candidate is passionate about database optimization and innovation, working with a talented team focused on quality and continuous learning.

Must Have

• Manage SQL Server and Azure cloud databases
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes
• Monitor system's health and performance
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Provide suggestions for solutions
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Provide support for critical production systems within US time-zone/from Monday to Friday
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
• Managing Backup strategy
• Tuning T-SQL queries to improve performance
• At least 6 years of database administration experience in hybrid environments
• Expert-level, hands-on experience with SQL Server administration
• Experience implementing and supporting SQL Always On and Distributed Availability Groups
• Experience automating routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Good experience with Linux operating systems and Windows Server administration
• Good knowledge in Kubernetes administration and container orchestration
• Good understanding of networking, storage, and security principles in containerized environments
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
• Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server and Azure cloud database service
• Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
