Job Summary
SoftwareOne and Crayon have merged to become a global AI-powered software and cloud solutions provider. As a Business Development Director (Individual Contributor), you will drive growth by helping clients adopt Microsoft Azure Data & AI services. This involves identifying opportunities, building relationships, and delivering solutions that enable smarter decisions and business transformation, focusing on services like Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure Machine Learning.
Must Have
- Drive sales of Microsoft’s Data & AI solutions
- Develop and execute territory/account plans aligned with customer priorities
- Lead customer conversations around data modernization, analytics strategy, and AI adoption
- Collaborate with Microsoft account teams, solution architects, and partners to co-sell and deliver value
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including RFP responses and contract negotiation
- Stay current on Microsoft’s evolving Data & AI offerings and industry trends
- 5+ years success in enterprise technology sales
- Strong understanding of Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem
- Experience with data architecture, AI strategy, and/or analytics transformation
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Experience working with Microsoft field teams or partner ecosystem

This role focuses on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving adoption of Azure Data & AI services. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions that enable smarter decisions and business transformation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of Microsoft’s Data & AI solutions including: Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Services, Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop and execute territory/account plans aligned with customer priorities
- Lead customer conversations around data modernization, analytics strategy, and AI adoption
- Collaborate with Microsoft account teams, solution architects, and partners to co-sell and deliver value
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including RFP responses and contract negotiation

What we need to see from you
- 5+ years success in enterprise technology sales, preferably in cloud, data, or AI domains.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem, including Azure and its Data & AI services.
- Experience with data architecture, AI strategy, and/or analytics transformation.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
