Senior Editor - Maths

Springer Nature Group is hiring a Senior Editor for Maths content within its Macmillan Education brand. This hybrid role, based in Noida, involves editing and developing K-12 educational content, with a focus on maths and science. Responsibilities include proofreading, editing manuscripts from initial to print-ready stages, ensuring quality, coordinating with authors and typesetters, and managing project schedules for timely delivery. Candidates should have over 6 years of experience and a relevant graduate/post-graduate degree.

Must Have

• Proficiency in editing/developing maths and science content.
• Ability to proofread, edit, and develop manuscripts from start to finish.
• Ownership and responsibility for K-12 segment projects.
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Liaising with authors, typesetters, and illustrators.
• Managing schedules for timely project delivery.

Roles Responsibilities:

Key tasks

• Proficient in editing/developing content based on maths and science
• To proofread, edit, and develop the manuscript from initial stage until the file is print ready
• Take ownership and responsibility of the projects for k-12 segment
• Ensure adherence to quality
• To liaise with authors, typesetters, illustrators, etc. throughout the editorial process
• Manage schedules to facilitate timely delivery of projects without compromising the quality

Key relationships

• A positive and holistic approach towards understanding and supporting the work-related activities related to editorial process
• To cooperate and work closely with the concerned people in different departments to ensure synergy and seamless handover of the projects

Experience: 6 years plus

Qualification - Graduate/ Post Graduate, preferably a professional degree/diploma in Humanities
