Job Summary
The Senior Medical Editor will lead editing for one or two brands, collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires 3-5 years of medical copy editing experience, proficiency in AMA style, and a strong interest in medicine, science, and marketing. Responsibilities include editing web and print materials for grammar, syntax, content, and clarity, fact-checking, spell-checking, and researching references. The editor will also develop and maintain style guides and resolve content issues with team members.
Must Have

- Fry test consumer/patient materials
- Spell check all print and digital materials

- Bachelor’s degree in English
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with digital communications and online research
- Organization, attention to detail, handle multiple assignments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Reader/HQ Reader

Overview:
The Senior Editor will serve as lead editor on one or two brands, depending on size and will work with cross-functional agency partners. Three to 5 years’ experience as a medical copy editor, experience with AMA style, a good score on our editorial test, and attention to detail are necessary, as is an interest in medicine/science and marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Edit both Web-based and print materials for grammar, syntax, content, and clarity
- Fact checks materials for accuracy of content and product claims
- Fry test consumer/patient materials
- Spell check all print and digital materials
- Work closely with other team members to resolve content, referencing, or scheduling issues
- Research and secure references to ensure accuracy of medical/scientific statements and brand claims
- Develop and maintain style guides and references for assigned brand(s)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with digital communications and online research methodology
- Organization, attention to detail, ability to handle several assignments at once
- Proficiency in in Microsoft Suite
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Reader/HQ Reader
The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
- Salary range here - $69,500 - $93,875
