Job Description

Editorial Interns

The World of Chinese is seeking interns!

Want byline exposure online? Looking to gain experience and contacts from a magazine with over 10 years of media experience? Interested in Chinese culture and social issues?

We are seeking editorial interns for our website coverage. Applicants should be interested in current affairs, culture and media and, most importantly, have keen news sense and the ability to use creative ways to tell interesting stories.

English writing skills are a must. Chinese language skills are a big asset, but if you can demonstrate a keen interest in national affairs, you may be what we’re looking for. Interns who show a high degree of self-motivation or previous experience may work remotely, though we would prefer those who can work from our office in Chaoyang district, Beijing.

If this sounds like an experience you’re interested in, please send your CV, a brief covering letter outlining your interest in China and the internship, and three story pitches of 50 to 150 words to jobs@theworldofchinese.com. Samples of previous writing are not essential, but helpful.
