They are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Account Manager to join their Latin America sales team in Mexico. This remote role, based in the Mexico City metro area, is primarily focused on new business development within a high-growth phase. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Spanish and English and will contribute to a rapidly expanding and successful team.

Job Description

The Role and the Team

Experienced Sr. Sales Account Manager to join our growing Latin America sales team in Mexico.

This is a remote role, candidates should be based in the Mexico City metro area.

As we are in a high-growth phase, this position is primarily new business-focused.

You will be joining a rapidly growing and successful team.

Must speak Spanish and fluent English.

Overview Of Role

  • Actively engage with prospective new customers both face to face and remotely to introduce Proofpoint products and our value proposition.
  • Consistently research and proactively prospect within your assigned territory to identify potential new Proofpoint customers.
  • Actively manage any existing customers within territory to maintain and grow their Proofpoint investment.
  • Drive the entire sales process from start to finish including prospecting, opportunity identification, introductory meetings, product demonstration, customer Q&A, as well as negotiation and closing.
  • Team up with our rapidly expanding channel partner network to drive both net-new and incremental revenue.
  • Interact with the management team in 1-1, team meetings and via forecasting and reporting to provide critical updates, and strategic account planning.
  • Fulfill internal obligations such as training and exams to ensure success in the field.
  • May require modified work hours to cover accounts in other time zones, and occasional travel for key accounts.

Job Requirements

  • Must speak fluent English and Spanish.
  • 18+ years of experience selling cyber-security solutions in the Mexico market is strongly preferred.
  • Relationships with senior cybersecurity executives (e.g. CISOs) will be viewed favorably.
  • Strong grasp of value selling methodology in order to sell a premium product.
  • Experience selling through channel partners.
  • Track record of sustained success/over-achievement in a sales role.
  • Experience managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through negotiation and closing.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) as well as organizational skills.
  • Great attitude, and a team player that will share their recipe(s) for success.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Travel is required in this role
