Job Summary

As a Senior Payroll Specialist in GBS+, you will be primarily responsible for processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay for Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark. Your role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of the payroll cycle, including tax and benefits, controlling reports, understanding customer requirements, resolving employee queries, and cooperating with vendors and HR/Finance teams.

Must Have

  • Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle are processed accurately and timely.
  • Control and analyze pre- and post-payroll reports.
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of customer’s requirements.
  • Address and resolve employee queries related to the payroll system.
  • Report and assist in solving payroll issues.
  • Cooperate closely with payroll vendors, HR team and Finance department.
  • Assist in ensuring the completeness of workflow documents and manuals.
  • Education in Human Resources/Accounting/Business Administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in HR.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous payroll experience.
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation.
  • Full working proficiency in English language.
  • Payroll software knowledge.
  • Excel on upper-intermediate level (lookup functions, pivot tables).
  • Strong ownership and drive, passion for self-development.
  • Good ability to work to tight deadlines, strong analytical and organizational skills.

About the team

As a Sr Specialist in our GBS+, you will be primarily responsible for processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay - salary changes, deductions, bonuses and others for Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

Your role

  • Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, garnishments, etc. are processed, checked and transmitted accurately and timely
  • Control and analyze pre- and post-payroll reports (GL posting, Reconciliation report, Accrual report)
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of customer’s requirements and their changing needs to ensure services are delivered in accordance with SLAs
  • Address and resolve employee queries related to the payroll system
  • Report and assist in solving payroll issues
  • Cooperate closely with payroll vendors, HR team and Finance department regarding salary calculations
  • Assist in ensuring the completeness of the workflow documents and manuals

Your skills

We will provide you with the onboarding and respective trainings. However, as you will support Henkel end-to-end payroll process from executing payroll system, we require:

  • Education in Human Resources/Accounting/Business Administration
  • Previous experience in HR is a must (minimum 2 years)
  • Previous payroll experience is a must (minimum 2 years)
  • Strong communication skills and customer orientation
  • Full working proficiency in English language
  • Payroll software knowledge
  • Excel on upper-intermediate level (lookup functions, pivot tables)
  • Strong ownership and drive, passion for self-development
