The Project Manager (PM), Medical Affairs at Illumina, Inc. will be responsible for providing operational and technical support for Medical Affairs asset tracking and management. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in parallel, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. This role will support multiple projects as needed based on the individual candidate and related business priorities.
The PM will report to a Senior Manager or above in Global Medical Affairs and, with supervision, will coordinate asset management, including slide decks, conference materials, and publications. Working closely with the Regional Medical Leads, Scientific Affairs, and cross-functional teams (ie, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Market Access), the position will support the implementation of Medical Affairs-related processes, tools and documents.
The PM will contribute to the monitoring and reporting of all scientific Medical Affairs assets including but not limited to conference abstracts, slide decks, posters, and scientific publications. This role will support Medical Affairs across clinical segments and regions with organizing and coordinating conference submissions (e.g. abstracts, session proposals), ensuring materials are available for review by our Content Approval Process team in time for presentation at scientific and medical congresses, tracking the outcome of submissions, and documenting the final deliverables. Responsibilities include scheduling internal meetings; managing meeting timetables and rosters; confirming participants’ attendance; arranging meeting logistics; preparing meeting agenda packages and presentation slides; and taking and distribution of meeting minutes. The PM will maintain and update internal archives as well as track and summarize internal metrics for management and other internal stakeholders. This position must be capable of collaborating with a diverse group of colleagues and balance priorities across several groups within and outside Medical Affairs to ensure compliant, high-quality, and timely asset creation.
The estimated base salary range for the Senior Project Manager role based in the United States of America is: $88,200 - $132,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
