Join Nasdaq Vilnius as a Senior Systems Operations Analyst in the Global Operations, Application Management Group. This role involves daily business operations support in a 24/6 environment, including system start-up/shut down, change management, incident management, problem resolution, configuration management, application support, and deployment across multiple platforms for internal and external customers. Must Have
- Perform monitoring and operational management for hardware and software in a 24x7 environment.
- Function as part of a global team responsible for overall health, performance, and capacity of production.
- Contribute to the implementation and design of systems and networks with a focus on automation.
- Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade computer systems hardware and software.
- Collaborate with software developers on operations-related issues and provide support.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack.
- Proactively investigate error conditions and follow prescribed error correction procedures.
- Recognize abnormal processing conditions and make appropriate response decisions.
- Monitor and respond to system and application-generated messages.
- Follow escalation procedures to resolve errors in a timely manner.
- Respond promptly to questions and requests from incoming calls and incident tickets.
- Create and maintain operational documentation and follow procedures.
- Review system capabilities, department workflow, and scheduling requirements.
- Identify and implement documentation gaps.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 to 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of Linux Operating System and command-line interface.
- Experience with configuration management and deployment automation tools (CHEF, Puppet, Ansible, GIT).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Unix/Linux shell, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell).
- Experience with code repository management, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven).
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting real-time applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High professional standards with a customer-focused mentality.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work weekends on a rotational schedule.
Good to Have
- Certifications relevant to the role.
- Knowledge of network topologies, security concepts, and data communications (TCP/IP, switches, routers, LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS, Multicast).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus.
- Understanding of AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform or comparable tools.

Join us at Nasdaq Vilnius tech hub as a Senior Systems Operations Analyst! The Global Operations, Application Management Group is responsible for daily business operations support in a 24/6 environment. The team supports system start-up and shut down, change management, incident management, problem resolution, configuration management, application support, and application deployment across multiple platforms for both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monitoring and operational management functions for hardware and software within a 24x7 processing environment
- Function as part of a global team responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of the production environment
- Contribute to the implementation and design of systems and networks used to operate production infrastructure with a focus on automation
- Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade computer systems hardware and software
- Collaborate with software developers on operations-related issues and provide support
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack
- Proactively investigate known and unknown error conditions and follow prescribed error correction procedures
- Recognize abnormal processing conditions and make appropriate response decisions
- Monitor and respond to system and application-generated messages
- Follow escalation procedures to resolve errors in a timely manner
- Respond promptly to questions and requests from incoming calls and incident tickets

Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in a similar role
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of Linux Operating System and command-line interface
- Experience with at least one configuration management and deployment automation tool (CHEF, Puppet, Ansible, GIT)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Bash, JavaScript, PowerShell, or other programming languages
- Experience with at least one of the following: code repository management, code merge, quality checks, CI through pipeline creation, automated deployment management (using Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, or similar tools)
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting real-time applications

Monthly base salary 3300 - 3600 EUR gross. The final offer will be based on your experience and skills.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM.

This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius. Nasdaq offers a hybrid workplace to find a balance between working from home and collaborating in the office, therefore it's required to come into the office at least 3 days per week.
