The Role:
As Senior Talent Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our in-market Talent recruitment globally.
Managing a team of five, you’ll be the point of contact for global and regional offices, allocate resources to each market per client request, act as point of escalation for any resource performance issues, and report regularly to the Global Head of Language Delivery on any complex situations.
Example responsibilities include:
- Support Language Services Department heads in global language strategy
- Oversee the team responsible for recruiting all new freelance translators, transcreators, proofreaders, copywriters, editors, post-editors and/or creative talents including the testing and evaluation process
- Organize and oversee our talent database and reporting – ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Understand the specific client requirements to ensure you are recruiting the right talent for each client
- Demonstrate a good understanding of our talent pool across markets,accounts and skillsets-
- Oversee the tracking of freelancers’ performance and work with our Transcreation Teams to overcome any performance issues (further testing, clearer briefings, reminder of terms of engagement, etc.)
- Ensure your team build and develop relationships with their freelancers to ensure they feel valued and have a key contact for any questions or issues
- Ensure your team negotiate freelancers’ rates according to specific account rates or Hogarth standard rates
- Work with Transcreation Account managers to develop penalty rates for freelancers should quality issues occur
- Collaborate with quality team to manage all quality complaints following Hogarth’s standards and ISO procedures
- Ensure terms and condition are agreed by Hogarth legal review and all new freelancers before starting to work with us
- Manage NDA’s and/or any other client specific contracts that need to be approved by freelancers before commencement of our collaboration
- Ensure the freelancer talent database is up to date in terms of status, rates and experience so Transcreation Teams can identify the correct talent quickly and efficiently
- Main point of contact between freelance suppliers and Finance team.
- Escalate any payment issues to the relevant Transcreation Account Manager, line manager or finance team member
- Ensure all relevant information across accounts and markets is stored correctly in the server (tests, CVs, talent details, portfolios, NSFs, etc.)
- Create reports about key metrics such as:
- Talent sourcing
- Testing and Evaluation
- Number of new freelancers recruited by account, by market, per month/quarterly
- Rates negotiated with new talent
- Average rates per account, per market (compare across accounts/industry standards – negotiate where applicable)
- Usage of talent – no of projects per freelancer, per account, per market – negotiate bulk deals if high/increased volume of work
- Constantly look for new recruitment sources – further develop relationships with key universities, raise profile of Hogarth via networking and presentations
- Responsible for identifying new language service providers to partner up with on a global scale
- Continue to improve the Talent Management processes to ensure we work with the best talents in the market
- Responsible for creating confirmation of employment documents for our suppliers.
Requirements:
- 5+years of linguistic recruitment and project management experience in language industry
- Team management experience in a linguistic environment
- Competent in sourcing talent and recruiting on LinkedIn and any other recruitment sites
- Ideally have experience recruiting Creative Directors, Copywriters, Translators and/or Proofreaders worldwide
- Strategic thinking and comfortable at trouble shooting and problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Competent with Microsoft office suite(Excel in particular), localization and reporting tool
- Able to work under pressure
