Shopify-first Web Developer

Zipdev is seeking a talented Shopify-first Web Developer with a strong background in UI/UX, technical SEO, and AI implementation to enhance high-volume e-commerce websites. The role involves daily management of Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce sites, customizing Shopify themes, translating Figma mockups into responsive designs, optimizing for speed, continuously improving UI/UX, implementing AI-powered features like recommendation engines, and monitoring technical SEO. The ideal candidate will write clean, optimized code and apply AI tools to improve user experience and drive conversion.

Must Have

• Daily management of Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce websites
• Customize Shopify themes (Liquid/Ruby, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Translate Figma/mockups into responsive, high-performing designs
• Optimize all sites for speed (Google PageSpeed score of 80+ consistently)
• Continuously enhance UI/UX across desktop and mobile
• Implement AI-powered features (recommendation engines, smart search, personalization, etc.)
• Monitor and improve technical SEO (structured data, crawlability, metadata, etc.)
• Manage hosting, DNS, email reputation, and security protocols
• Oversee app/plugin updates and recommend best-in-class Shopify apps
• 4+ years progressively managing high-volume U.S.-based e-commerce sites
• Shopify development experience with Liquid & Ruby
• Strong command of Shopify App Store and app integration
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL
• UI/UX design sensibility—understands spacing, typography, flow, and hierarchy
• Strong SEO skills: page structure, schema, metatags, GSC, SEMrush
• Familiarity with AI tools and APIs for e-commerce: OpenAI, Rebuy, Octane AI, etc.
• Email marketing integration (Klaviyo, Mailchimp) and DNS authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Experience translating design files (Figma/XD) into responsive layouts
• Great English communication skills
• Currently located in LATAM

• Daily management of Shopify and WordPress/WooCommerce websites
• Customize Shopify themes (Liquid/Ruby, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
