Software Engineer Mid-Level (.NET & Java) - Interfaces

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join the Partner Ecosystem & Cloud Provisioning Team. This role involves developing and testing software interfaces between Motorola's products (CAD, RMS, Real Time Command & Control, Analytics) and various third-party systems. The interfaces are built using an ETL architecture with adapters and a transformation layer, incorporating field mapping, filtering, triggering, and business logic. Technologies used include Microsoft .NET (C#), Java, XML, XSLT, SQL, microservices, and Kubernetes, focusing on public safety solutions to enable faster, smarter, and safer responses.

Must Have

• Bachelors Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience
• Experience with .NET Framework
• Experience with relational databases
• Experience with XML technologies to include XSLT and XML schemas
• Experience with Microservices and K8s
• Experience with RESTful web services
• Experience with Cloud technologies (Azure preferred)
• Experience with Source control technologies (Git preferred)
• Ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

The Partner Ecosystem & Cloud Provisioning Team delivers solutions to the public safety sector. The group is committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. Our group build integrations between different products and features such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems and Evidences management among other offerings. Interfaces are typically between Motorola Solutions, Inc. (MSI) products and third party applications.

Job Description

This Software Engineering position will be a member of the team that develops interfaces between Motorola's products and third party products. Develop and test software interfaces between MSI products (CAD, RMS, Real Time Command & Control, and Analytics) and a variety of 3rd party systems systems as required to meet customer requirements defined by solution architects. Interfaces are typically developed using an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) architecture with adapters to 3rd party and MSI systems and a transformation layer that includes field mapping, filtering, triggering, and business logic. Interfaces are implemented using a variety of technologies, including Microsoft .NET (C#), Java, XML, XSLT, SQL, microservices and kubernetes.

Basic Requirements
