Job Summary

Scripps Networks is seeking a Senior Director of Planning and Inventory to drive strategic growth and operational excellence. This hybrid leadership role in New York City focuses on increasing efficiency in sales planning and inventory processes. Responsibilities include developing strategic sales planning, maximizing inventory across networks, approving proposals and rates, managing re-expression of dollars, and leading a team of sales assistants and planners. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of inventory/sales planning experience, strong strategic planning, organizational, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Must Have

  • Drives the development and implementation of strategic sales planning
  • Manages sales planning and maximizes inventory across all networks
  • Approves sales proposals and planning rates for client/agency submission
  • Manages re-expression of dollars, sell-off and cancellation options terms
  • Approves distribution of ADU schedules
  • Manages and prioritizes sales planers' workload and distributes work accordingly
  • Manages a team of sales assistants and sales planners
  • Recommends and implements new or improved processes and tools to enhance the planning process
  • 8-10 years inventory and/or sales planning experience

  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and process improvement
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Aptitude in decision making and problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Scripps Networks is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Planning and Inventory who will be responsible for increasing efficiency from an operational perspective and positioning the Networks for growth via sales planning & inventory processes. This hybrid leadership role, based in New York City, offers the opportunity to shape the future of our sales operations while leading a talented team of professionals.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Drives the development and implementation of strategic sales planning
  • Manages sales planning and maximizes inventory across all networks
  • Approves sales proposals and planning rates for client/agency submission
  • Manages re-expression of dollars, sell-off and cancellation options terms
  • Approves distribution of ADU schedules
  • Manages and prioritizes sales planers' workload and distributes work accordingly

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $230,000.00 - 250000

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
