Job Summary
The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Security team is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Program Manager to lead and scale their Security Training & Outreach Team. This role involves partnering with technical teams across ASE to enhance security self-sufficiency through clear guidance, targeted outreach, and high-quality learning experiences. The manager will own programs delivering technical security education at scale, define requirements, coordinate contributors, and drive curriculum development to spread a strong security culture across ASE.
Must Have
- Operationalize key cross-functional security initiatives and programs
- Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively
- Create project plans which deliver consistency, clarity and build alignment
- Help influence peers / stakeholders and build consensus
- Develop and own communication plans to effectively communicate program status, issues, and risks
- Define and report on program health, success metrics and active progress
- Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and prioritization
- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects or programs
- 2+ years of experience working in training, education or Security Champions program
- Proficiency in managing complex projects (defining scopes, setting timelines, coordinating teams)
- Experience designing, delivering or managing technical trainings programs
- Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience

- Experience with fostering collaboration and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex security challenges and develop innovative solutions

The ASE Security team is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Program Manager to help manage and scale our Security Training & Outreach Team. In this role, you will serve as an Engineering Program Manager for the Security Training & Outreach team, owning programs that deliver technical security education at scale. You will lead cross-functional planning, define requirements, and coordinate engineering and security contributors to build accurate, high-quality training materials. Your responsibilities include reviewing technical content, driving curriculum development, and supporting the broader Security Champions ecosystem. You will help spread a strong security culture across ASE by empowering developers with the knowledge and resources to build securely and enable greater security self sufficiency. A key part of the role will be scaling security uplift and adoption efforts through targeted outreach campaigns and technical materials that meet teams where they are. You’ll apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure training initiatives address real security challenges and deliver measurable impact. This role requires exceptional communication skills, the ability to influence without authority, and a deep understanding of technical domains to keep programs aligned to strategic security priorities.

Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects or programs, preferably in a security domain.
- 2+ years of experience working in training, education or Security Champions program.
- Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in managing complex projects, including defining scopes, setting timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Training: Experience designing, delivering or managing, technical trainings programs.
- Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent experience

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,300 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
