Job Summary

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation, building, and maintenance of Likewize networks, including intranet, internet, LAN, and WAN. This role involves implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, performing capacity planning, and upgrading hardware and software components. The engineer will also provide 24/7 weekend on-call support on a rotational basis.

Must Have

  • 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices
  • Good experience in Routing (BGP) and Switching, Wireless (WLC, Meraki), Firewall (Palo Alto)
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT
  • Ability to build, manage and automate highly available networks
  • Performs capacity planning of the network by monitoring and analyzing network, performance, and availability
  • Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
  • Upgrades network hardware and software components as required
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, challenging work environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
  • Dependable and flexible for 24/7 weekend on-call support on a rotational basis
