Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Accounting Department at BOLD. This hybrid position, based in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, involves reporting results and maintaining daily accounting operations for multiple entities across various locations and currencies. The role requires assisting with general ledger activities, financial transactions, month-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and vendor data management. The Staff Accountant will also support process improvements, close acceleration initiatives, executive report preparation, and annual financial audits.
Must Have
- Assist with daily and monthly accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger
- Record financial transactions related to accounts payable and banking
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Maintain vendor data, electronic payments, and other files
- Assist with the documentation of accounting procedures
- Identify areas of improvement within the accounting team and close cycle
- Support in close acceleration initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of monthly executive reports
- Assist with the annual financial audit
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience in accounting, with some accounting firm experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; perform complex functions and pivot tables
- Excellent mathematical skills
- High attention to detail
- Very strong communication skills
- Strong problem-solving/issue-resolution skills
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Accounting experience with technology or related industry
- Experience with US GAAP, IFRS, and accounting differences
- Month-end close and reconciliation experience

ABOUT THIS TEAM

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist with daily and monthly accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger
- Record financial transactions related to accounts payable and banking, among others
- Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including review of general ledger postings
- Prepare and analyze Balance Sheet reconciliations and ensure proper controls are in place
- Maintain vendor data, electronic payments, and other files
- Assist with the documentation of accounting procedures
- Identify areas of improvement within the accounting team and close cycle
- Support in close acceleration initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of monthly executive reports
- Assist with the annual financial audit
