Job Summary

Join Infineon's Research & Development team as a Staff Engineer Thermal Simulation to merge creativity with technical expertise. You will be responsible for thermal simulation for characterization and development of Infineon products at package, board, and system levels. This role involves thermal virtual prototyping, simulation-based product optimization, and consulting internal customers. You will also generate simulation and compact models for end customers and develop solutions for simulation automation, shaping the future of technology and driving groundbreaking projects.

Must Have

Thermal Simulation for characterization and development of Infineon products (package, board, system level)
Thermal virtual prototyping and simulation-based product optimization
Thermal consulting for internal customers (development and application)
Generation of simulation and compact models for end customers
Development of solutions for simulation automation
Degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering, physics or similar field
3-5 years of experience in thermal FEM/CFD simulations
Experience with FEM and CFD Tools (ideally Ansys Mechanical/Icepak, Simcenter Flotherm)
Knowledge in creating and modifying 3D CAD geometries for simulation
Strong understanding of thermodynamics (semiconductor or microelectronic devices context)
Experience in programming for simulation automation (Python, C++)
Fluent English skills

Key responsibilities in your new role

Thermal Simulation for the characterization and development of Infineon products, on package, board and system level
Thermal virtual prototyping and simulation\-based product optimization
Thermal consulting of internal customers from development and application; close interaction with customers from a problem statement to simulation results interpretation and delivery
Generation of simulation and compact models for end customers
Development of solutions for simulation automation

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

A degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering, physics or a similar field
At least 3-5 years of experience in thermal FEM/CFD simulations
Very good experience with FEM and CFD Tools, ideally Ansys Mechanical/Icepak, Simcenter Flotherm
Knowledge in creating and modifying 3D CAD geometries for simulation
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, ideally in the context of semiconductor or microelectronic devices
Experience in programming for simulation automation (Python, C++)
Fluent English skills, German is a plus
