Job Summary
This role involves supporting the development and testing of the LITIX™ Color Mixing Library for automotive interior lighting, configuring system verification setups for new hardware platforms, prototyping new hardware and communication protocols, and enhancing the CI/CD pipeline. The ideal candidate is a Master's student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with strong Python and C programming skills, an understanding of embedded systems, and a passion for innovation.
Must Have
- Support development and testing of LITIX™ Color Mixing Library for automotive interior lighting applications.
- Help set up and configure new system verification setups for upcoming hardware platforms.
- Prototype support for new hardware platforms and new communication protocols.
- Enhance CI/CD pipeline and development environment.
- Collaborate with the team to address technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python and C programming.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and passion to learn.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges while collaborating effectively in an agile team environment.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of LED technology, color science and measurement principles.
- Hands-on experience with modern development tools (Git, VS Code, Linux/Docker).
- Experience with embedded programming and lab equipment (e.g., climate chambers, spectrometers).
- German language skills.

Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role:
- Drive innovation: You support the development and testing of our LITIX™ Color Mixing Library for automotive interior lighting applications, working with state-of-the-art LED technology
- Take responsibility: You help set up and configure new system verification setups for upcoming hardware platforms including lab equipment integration
- Shape the future: You prototype support for new hardware platforms and new communication protocols and support PC tool development
- Lifelong learning: You enhance our CI/CD pipeline and development environment
- Teamwork is dreamwork: You collaborate with the team to address technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:
- Study field: You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and C programming, basic understanding of embedded systems and communication protocols. Knowledge of LED technology, color science and measurement principles are a plus
- Experience: Hands-on experience with modern development tools (Git, VS Code, Linux/Docker), embedded programming and lab equipment (e.g. climate chambers, spectrometers) is preferred
- Personality: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and passion to learn and to contribute to innovative projects
- Way of working: Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges while collaborating effectively in an agile team environment
- Language skills: Very good English skills, both written and spoken. German is a plus

Important information:
- Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
