Job Summary

This role is for an Industrial Methods Engineer specializing in Electronics at Thales's Brest site. You will join a team of methods technicians and engineers, focusing on the production, integration, and testing of FLASH system equipment (mechanical assemblies, electronic card integration, wiring, crimping, soldering). Key responsibilities include ensuring product/process manufacturability, generating manufacturing files, supporting production, optimizing costs, and deploying Industry 4.0 tools.

Must Have

  • Ensure manufacturability and maturity of Products/Processes
  • Generate manufacturing files and ranges for prototypes to series launch
  • Conduct production reviews
  • Participate in setting up the industrial scenario/flow
  • Provide internal and external technical support (suppliers)
  • Participate in resolving technical issues (8D, problem-solving)
  • Contribute to optimizing production costs (range time, yield)
  • Maintain manufacturing files and ranges
  • Deploy Industry 4.0 tools
  • Contribute to capitalization and feedback
  • Participate in recurrent cost measurement
  • Interface with production, industrialization, Supply Chain, Quality teams
  • Participate in workstation layout and ergonomics, industrial transfers, and Continuous Improvement projects
  • Engineering degree in electronics
  • Experience in Methods and Industrialization
  • Experience in technical support for lines (Test Technicians)
  • Experience in supplier management (EMS, mechanical, composite)
  • Knowledge of IPC 610 and 620
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement
  • Experience in Digitalization / Industry 4.0

Your daily life

The Brest site hosts our digital services activities as well as Thales's expertise in development, integration, and maintenance for maritime patrol and surveillance systems, electronic warfare, sonar systems, and airborne anti-submarine warfare, as well as our digital services activities.

Within the Industrial Competence Center and the Industrial Methods business organization, you will join a team of methods technicians and engineers in the fields of electronics, mechanics, and plastics.

The scope of the position covers the production, integration, and testing of FLASH system equipment (Helicopter Sonar). (Mechanical assemblies, electronic card integration, wiring, crimping, crimping, soldering)

Your missions:

  • Ensure the manufacturability and maturity of Products / Processes
  • Generate manufacturing files and manufacturing ranges for prototypes up to series launch
  • Perform production reviews
  • Participate in setting up the industrial scenario / flow
  • Provide technical support internally and externally (suppliers)
  • Participate in the resolution of technical issues (8D, problem-solving...)
  • Contribute to optimizing production costs (range time, yield, ...)
  • Maintain manufacturing files and manufacturing ranges
  • Deploy Industry 4.0 tools
  • Contribute to capitalization and feedback
  • Participate in the measurement of recurrent cost
  • Work in interface with production, industrialization, Supply Chain, Quality teams
  • Participate: in workstation layout and ergonomics, industrial transfers (France and abroad) and Continuous Improvement projects

Your profile

With an engineering degree in electronics, you have experience in:

  • Methods and Industrialization
  • Technical support for lines (Test Technicians)
  • Supplier management for EMS, mechanical, composite types.
  • IPC 610 and 620
  • Continuous improvement
  • Digitalization / Industry 4.0
